How to use Dada Mail > Change List Information

List Name
The List Name is used to identify your list from another list (for example: Today's News). This is what's used on the Dada Mail default page, where potential subscribers can choose from all your lists that are open to the public. A good list name should give them an idea on what the list is meant for. Don't make the List Name too long, yet don't make this List Name something like "My List".

List Short Name
The List Short Name is almost like a small version of the List Name, and it's used internally in Dada Mail. It becomes the first part of the list address. For example, if your List Name is "Today's News", you might make the List Short Name to be "news". Then, the list address will be news@yourdomain.org.

Keep the list short name short and stick to only alpha-numeric characters. Also, take time in making a good list short name, since you cannot change the list short name after a list is created.

List Owner
The List Owner is the email address that is associated with almost every email message sent relating to your list. You may want to create an email account just for your list. Make sure to check this account regularly, since subscribers may use it to communicate with the list owner.

Description
Your list's description explains in more detail what you list is all about. You may want to include how many times a mailing list will be sent out and a general idea on its contents. This description will appear on the Dada Mail default screen and will be included in the confirmation email that's sent to subscribers.

Privacy Policy
Since you're collecting personal information, you'll need to set a Privacy Policy for your list. Make sure to include exactly what you're going to do with the information you're collecting. We strongly insist that you use the email addresses you collect solely for the use of the mailing list, and not give, share or resell the addresses for any reason -- Period!

Physical Address
Adding a physical address to your mailing list helps you conform to the US CAN-SPAM law, by tying your mailing list to a known address. It seems like an odd thing to have to include with an email-based mailing list, but we're concerning about Dada Mail conforming to regulations.
