How to use Dada Mail > Send A Webpage
Take a webpage published on the Internet and send it to your subscribers.

An Important Note:
Please test out the "Send a Webpage" functionality before you send it out to your subscribers. Not all webpages work well in emails.

Images at this location should:
There's a few things that can be done to images that appear in a webpage you want to send. You can simply change the URLs of all the images that are called, to make sure that they are absolute (i.e., that they contain the full path to where they're located on your server, using the http:// full URL), or you can actually embed the images in the mailing list message itself.

Embedding images in the mailing list message has the advantage of making those images always available to be viewed by your subscribers, even when they are reading their mail off-line. However, like all HTML email, it'll take longer to initially download the images into the user's computer. This may cause some subscribers to get impatient and delete the message before reading it, so always create HTML email messages on the lean side.

There are two ways, internally, on how this can be done: Use the "Content-Location" header or use the "Content-ID" header.

Restricted URL Information
If the webpage you want to use for your mailing list message is password protected, you can put in the username, password and proxy server in this location. Most likely, this information will be transmitted in clear text. A more certain and reliable way of transmitting the same webpage would be to simply grab the source code from the webpage and paste it into the HTML Version input box in "Send a List Message".

Plain Text Version
Since sending a webpage will create an HTML version of your mailing list message, it's a good idea to make a plain text version as well, or some of your subscribers, who have mail readers that can't understand HTML, will not be able to see your message. We recommend that your plain text message provides the URL of the webpage online; for example: "If you cannot see this message correctly, please go to http://yourdomain.org/thepage.htm."
